Duties:
“AFMA have several potential vacancies available at the APS 6 level in the Fisheries Management Branch, both ongoing and non-ongoing. Roles include working in the management team for a specific fishery, assisting with research administration, helping mitigate the impacts of fishing on bycatch and non-target species and providing general policy and economic advice. Applicants will be asked to indicate their interests and the merit list from this process may be used to fill both ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies as they arise within the Fisheries Management Branch.The Senior Fisheries Management Officers, in consultation with the relevant Manager, will lead a team in the development and implementation of management arrangements and policies and/or provide economic advice on management arrangements for the fishery(ies). The successful applicants will be responsible for managing more complex operational and administrative work, and will be required to undertake investigations, research and analysis.
